Definitely not one that actually glows like that. Far too small for even the smallest rice grain light bulbs & batteries.

This one wouldn't really be all that possible to manufacture. Even if I could, it does have some seriously sharp edges. It's more for visuals that for reals. ;)

I always imagined my Red Lantern Power Ring looking like this!
You've done a great job on all of the other rings too! Including the Wonder, Flash and Obama ring!

Thanks.

It's a computer modeling/rendering package called Lightwave 3D. It's sold by Newtek. It's used by some Hollywood productions and has been part of some classic sci-fi like Babylon 5 and Star Trek TNG. I believe it is the most affordable of the professional software packages that are publicly available.

Hmm... Hadn't thought about that before. You mean kind of like the Lord of the Rings ring inscription?

Thanks. This one was my favorite too. It was the most fun to draw. I had the idea for this one first and it inspired me to do the other colors in a similar style.

The red ring looks like it would hurt your finger.

Wouldn't that be fitting for the Red Lanterns? They do have their blood replaced with burning acid after all. ;)

Actually... I thought about that and I think that given the way the finger bends the points are all aimed away from the finger.

But... even if it did slice up a finger, it wouldn't be the most unrealistic thing about a magic power ring that can make you fly. ;)

Most of the power rings have the symbol located inside a circle. However, we have seen some green rings where they are actually shaped like a lantern. So it is possible some Red Lanterns would have a more detailed ring.

And I agree the finger bends in the other direction. I think when I made the comment I was thinking it would hurt when you punched someone.

Yeah. Some of the symbols are easier to extricate from the circle than others.

I agree about punching someone with it. It could be a cool bonus for Atrocitus.
